Kathleen (Kathy) Ameche is a Senior Executive and Corporate Officer with over 20 years of business experience. She is currently President and CEO of the Ameche Group LLC, a company dedicated to the development of future business leaders.
Ms. Ameche most recently served as the Vice President of Business Development for West Monroe Partners, LLC, a business and technology consulting firm, focusing on small to mid-cap companies. She is the former Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Tribune Company, a Fortune 500 media and entertainment company. She has held senior management positions in the consulting arm of Geac (formerly Dun & Bradstreet Software), and she began her career as a consultant with Deloitte, an international public accounting firm. Kathy has continued to retain her license as a certified public accountant.
During her career, Kathy has logged 2,000,000 miles of business travel. That led her to write her first book, "The Woman Road Warrior: A Woman's Guide to Business Travel". It has been as high as #1 on Amazon's best seller list for business travel since 2005. Later this year, the Ameche Group will also release a line of products that will support all travelers.
Ms. Ameche has been a member of the Advisory Board of Loyola University's Center of Information Management and Technology Group. She currently sits on the board for the Girl Scouts of Chicago, where she makes particular contributions to its Information Technology and Corporate Sponsorship committees. She co-founded a leadership group for woman Chief Information Officers (CIO's); this invitation-only organization provides collaboration and support to senior female corporate executives in the Chicago area.
Kathy has been a guest speaker and presenter at industry and professional conferences, seminars, and universities. Her appearances include: Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business, DePaul University, Loyola University, The Library of Congress (Washington DC), IBM, Deloitte and Kirkland & Ellis. Her topics range from business travel to career planning to effective networking.
